What happened to Cameron’s Respect Agenda

I’ve just read a press release from WWF Scotland among others deploring that fact the UK Government have decided to include the discredited proposals for a new coal-fired power plant at Hunterston, Ayrshire for European Union funds.

This plant is not wanted in Scotland. When David Cameron was appointed Prime Minister last year he promised a “respect” agenda for dealing with Scotland. One must ask if that has now disappeared. Did the UK Government discuss these proposals with the Scottish Executive? It would appear not.

Cameron referred to the potential for break up of the UK in PM Question’s at lunch time today. He said he wanted Britain to remain united. Well, that will only happen if he and his government pays more attention and treat’s other administrations with “respect”!
