IndyRef question but not from the nationalists

So, the panel of experts set up by Labour, Conservatives and Scot Lib Dems has come up with a question that could be asked in a referendum.

They suggest a statement “Scotland should become an independent state” along with two tick boxes where you make your choice “I agree” and “I do not agree”.

One, the Electoral Commission will only asses a question put forward by the ‘nationalist party’ as they are in administration at Holyrood so, all three parties will now have to persuade the ‘nationalist party’ that their question is better.

Two, does everyone understand what is meant by the word “state”? Is that going to have to be explained to people too? Is it a sovereign state, a nation state, or a federated state? Sorry folks but I need that explanation..
