Great Supermarket Escape

Traidcraft are running a campaign to ensure a fairer deal for the people working in Europe’s supermarket supply chains where tougher regulation is needed from Brussels.

Supermarkets across Europe abuse their control over the food sector by squeezing their supply chains. All too often it’s the workers, farmers and suppliers who end up bearing the burden of the retailer’s pursuit of profit. But now even our food has had enough of supermarket exploitation!

They’re feeling the squeeze and are on the run from the supermarket shelves. Their aim? To track down Commissioner Barnier, the decision-maker who will guide the EU’s approach to tackling unfair supermarket practices, and call on him to rein in the retailers.
