If you’re on a clinical trial to reverse your diabetes how easy is the diet aspect?
Bear in mind I’m on 800 calories per day – 2 soups, 2 shakes – not very easy. I find it difficult to do the amount of walking I used to. I’ve had to drop my morning walks to a shorter distance but have managed to keep my post lunch(?) to the same.
At least I’m saving money shopping. I don’t have to buy any food for 12 weeks. Just the basics like washing up liquid, toilet paper, sugar free soft drinks. I’m managing to avoid the main food and sweet counters. Also avoiding Gregg’s and other sandwich shops.
Yes, I am losing weight and trust the end result will justify the “pain” of not eating solid food. I’m just getting fed up with the monotony of the packets I’ve been provided with. The soup choice is “mushroom” and “vegetables”, they need to find other choices. It’s the same with the shakes: banana; vanilla; chocolate, at least the latter one I take as a hot drink.
This is not something I’d recommend for normal dieting. I’m doing it for a purpose, to reverse my diabetes.
