I wrote a previous article a few months back in which I stated we should consider getting rid of all 32 local authorities in Scotland.
Today, the lead article in The Scotsman implies the adminstration in Holyrood want to take social care out of the hands of the councils and either hand it to the NHS or into a “National Care Service”. This comes after a few weeks of debate on education and how that should be provided. In addition an “opposition” MSP has said that we should get rid of all 32 councils and 14 NHS boards.
Now my previous article in June was actually based on a document I wrote for a friend of mine back in January this year and was based on some thoughts I’d had for some months prior to that. Maybe my thoughts are just way ahead of everybody else :-)))
Is the local authority debate catching me up?
