Scotland’s National Airshow

This took place last Saturday at the National Museum of Scotland‘s Museum of Flight at East Fortune, East Lothian. I was there as a volunteer to help on the ‘flight line’. This is just the edge of a field where we ensure no-one jumps over the fence underneath the aircraft. If anyone was so daft we’d have to radio the flight controller to suspend the show. Fortunately, we’ve not had to do so in the 4 events I’ve helped out at.

This year I was in a more central position and although I’m not supposed to watch the aircraft, sometimes you just can’t help yourself. I had a small camera with me and could’t catch the fast jets properly.
