Are you fed up with being let down by politics and politicians? Too many MPs act as if they have a job for life. They are protected by a cosy voting system that makes it harder for voters to vote them out. All that can change on 5th May 2011 in the Fairer Votes Referendum.
A Yes vote in May’s referendum will put more power in the hands of voters. It will mean that every MP will have to work hard to earn and keep the support of their constituents. It will mean that every MP will need more than half of the votes to be elected.
But not everyone thinks this is a good thing. Many MPs fear this change. They fear that they may no longer have a seat for life. They fear what might happen if more power is given to the voters.
