To be honest I don’t see how the current coalition agreement can continue especially if a “lack of trust” exists.
One option is for a SNP minority adminstration until next May. The other option is a “rainbow” deal with Scot Lib Dems, Labour & Tories.
However I would be against any “deals” proposed by the Scot Lib Dem Council Group. Partly because they have failed to active Councillors. By that I mean in their failure to engage and comunicate with the local party membership which they compounded by failing to engage with the voters by doing the usual campaigning stuff. We used to say ‘campagning all year round’ with our Focus leaflets. But because of Councillor unwillingness that has fallen apart.
There is also the fact any such proposal will need to receive the backing of the majority of members in a members vote before any deal is signed off.
